FAQs

Exploring our website will give you a pretty good idea of what Ridge is all about as an employer. But of course, you may still have some questions for us. Can I apply for a position in the UK if I need a work permit?

All employees will be asked for evidence of their right to live and work in the UK, either by providing a UK/EU passport or work permit.

Can I still apply for the vacancy if the closing date has passed?

Unfortunately you cannot apply for a vacancy once the closing date has passed. However, you can contact the Recruitment Manager at careers@ridge.co.uk to request submitting a late application or to discuss any future roles you may be interested in hearing about within Ridge.

Does Ridge have an equal opportunities policy?

Yes. Anyone applying to Ridge will be treated equally and in accordance with our equal opportunities policy.

How does the interview process work?

We may need to adapt our interview process depending on the vacancy you have applied for. We use competency-based interviewing. You will be given details of the format when invited for interview.

Does Ridge pay expenses to candidates travelling to interviews/assessment centres?

No, we do not normally offer any reimbursement for expenses you incur attending an interview. If you would need to travel a long distance to attend and interview we would conduct an initial interview by telephone/Skype.

How long will the selection process take?

There is no set timeline in the selection process. We will endeavour to keep you up to date at all stages of your application. For more senior roles you might meet with us on several occasions before we reach a final decision.

I have applied for a vacancy but still not heard from the Recruitment Manager

We acknowledge all applications via e-mail, if we think that you are suitable for the role then we will contact you to discuss the role. If we have not contacted you by then it could be that we felt you were unsuitable for the role or that we have not received your complete application. Please email careers@ridge.co.uk to enquire what stage your application is at if you have not heard.

Do you offer work experience/summer internships?

Yes. There are opportunities to pursue work experience and internships within Ridge in the form of summer and year in placements. All placements, work experience and internships are managed locally at each of our contracts.

Please post a copy of your CV, with a cover letter detailing the type of work/internship experience you are interested in. Please note that you will only be contacted if there is a placement opportunity available and you have been shortlisted for an interview.

Can I apply for more than one role?

Yes, simply visit our current vacancies page and submit an application for any relevant positions that suit your skills.

Can I send my CV speculatively for current or future vacancies?

Yes, you can enter you details and upload your CV to the Ridge and Partners database through the careers website.

Will my interview include a test/presentation?

Standard competency based interviews are our primary method for making selection decisions. If we require you to undertake a test or deliver a presentation, we will notify you of the fact in our invite to interview letter. On some occasions we have a 2 stage interview process, where 1 or 2 candidates from the first stage interviews are invited to a second interview.

Is every vacancy shown on the website?

Yes, all vacancies are advertised on the website.
