Applying for the role

We assess each application on its own merits, against the criteria outlined on the job description and in consultation with the Partners.

When you click on “apply now” in the Current Vacancies tab, you’ll be taken through to our Applicant Tracking System, which will collect all the relevant information we need to process your application. This helps us to manage your application more effectively and to respond to you in a timely manner. To apply, you will be asked to complete a brief online application form and will be presented with the option of including your up-to-date CV.

When Will I Hear Back?

You will receive an email telling you that we have received your application form and/or CV. Your application is very important to us and we will make every effort to ensure that you are kept informed at every stage of the process. Your application will be reviewed by our Recruitment Manager in consultation with the hiring manager(s) to check the match between your experience and skills with those required by the role outlined in the job description.

Assessment

If your application is successful you will be invited to attend an interview which may be face-to-face, via video conference/Skype, or over the phone. Should your application be unsuccessful we aim to let you know as soon as we are able to.

Interview process

The first interview in the Ridge selection process is very important as it’s your opportunity to expand on the content in your CV and application.

Our interview format is relatively informal and reflects the culture of the company, you can expect to meet with one of our managers, where you will be encouraged to relax and be given the opportunity to talk freely about your career/experience to date which will allow us to find out more about you as a person. You will always meet the person you would be working for, and probably also the relevant Partner, who will be interested in your achievements and technical capability, as well as your personal qualities.

The first stage interview is also an ideal opportunity for you to ask us questions about Ridge, the role, and to potentially take a look at the place where you will be working. This means that time spent preparing is essential.  Do make sure that you have asked the Recruitment Manager for a copy of the job description and have taken a good look through the Ridge website in some detail.  Take the time to recall the times in your career where you have been able to demonstrate the skills and experience we are looking for, and practice what you would want to tell us about. You will be kept informed of your progress at all stages of the process and if we decide not to proceed with your application at any stage you will be informed in writing, and detailed feedback will be available on request.

Please note that our approach to interviews is flexible depending on the role and location, but this should serve as a good general guideline for the techniques you may expect to encounter through our selection process. You will be provided with further information about your specific interview format prior to attending your first stage interview.
