Assessment of Professional Competence (APC)
Staff who undertake the APC examinations in preparation for election to their professional body such as the RICS RIBA, APM, ICE, ISTRUCTE, CIBSE etc enter into a structured training framework which provides a mixture of formal training and a variety of on-the-job experience. Each party agrees to a series of objectives and progress is monitored monthly.
Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
All our Chartered staff are required to complete the necessary level of continuous professional development as required by their relevant professional institution. A regular programme of lunchtime seminars by suppliers, consultants and other specialists is also delivered in each office.
Health & Safety Training
All staff receive a health and safety briefing as part of their general induction.
All professional staff receive more in depth health and safety training and, where appropriate, specialist training in relation to CDM, Planning Supervision, Disabled Access, Asbestos etc. Professional staff are also encouraged to make full use of the HSE Website and its links including Safety in Design (SiD) and the HSE E-Learning Academy.
Financial Support for training provided by the Partnership includes:
- BTEC/HNC/1st Degree/Masters Degree via Part Time/Distance Learning
Course and examination fees paid in full plus paid study leave and travel expenses.
- RICS/RIBA/CIBSE/MechE/IEE etc
Course and examination fees paid in full, Enrolment and membership fees paid once Chartered status achieved.
